Art Quilters

As one of the largest non-profit groups of fiber artists in the United States Front Range Contemporary Quilters (FRCQ) knew it was time to evolve their online presence. When the organization was founded in 1988, their logo and eventually their early adoption of the internet were innovative within the artistic community. But by not evolving their online image they knew their look had become mainstream -- this did not reflect the work of their cutting edge and experimental creative process.

FRCQ turned to one of their members, Kathy Keating, who also owns Tricalyx. Kathy took their redesigned logo and developed an innovative new website that allowed the true art of their members to be highlighted. This website, designed in the Joomla Content Management System is easily updated with new content and images. With many rotating slideshows in its many online galleries, the artwork showcased by these talented artists is truly highlighted.

FRCQ's Board also knew that they needed to upgrade their antiquated membership management database. To assist with this, Tricalyx implemented a new membership management system using Joomla's CiviCRM plugin. This open source plugin provided online access to the membership database as well as CiviMail an autoresponder email system that allows FRCQ to easy contact and track all emails to members.
